Nick is a member of the Business and Property, Sports Law, and Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence & Costs Departments. Nick practised as a Solicitor for 12 years before transferring to the Bar in 2016.

Nick appears frequently in the County Court and High Court, including the Business and Property Courts.

Nick’s background as a solicitor means that he has vast experience and knowledge of litigation funding, ATE and legal costs issues. He can accept instructions on a Direct Access Basis.

Financial Mis-selling

Nick has significant experience in financial mis-selling litigation. His current practice is focused on business energy, car finance, and mortgage mis-selling claims. In February 2025, Nick co-authored ‘A Practical Guide to the Mis-selling of Car Finance’ with Victoria Roberts. Links below.

Professional Negligence, Property and Commercial Litigation

Nick receives instructions in Professional Negligence, Property, Commercial Litigation and Insolvency matters.  His Professional Negligence practice focuses on solicitors’ negligence, including claims arising from underlying personal injury and clinical negligence litigation.

Personal Injury

Nick continues to represent both Claimants and Defendants in intermediate-track and multi-track-value personal injury cases.  He has acted for Claimants in claims worth in excess of £1 million.  He has particular experience in cases involving psychiatric illness, including cases involving stress and bullying at work.

Sports Law

Nick acts for Sport Clubs in regulatory proceedings and has recent experience of acting for a football club in EFL Disciplinary proceedings. He acted from the point of Charge up to and including the Final Hearing, against Leading Counsel. He went on to act for the same Club in a breach of fiduciary duties claim.

Nick also acts for sportsmen and sportswomen in regulatory and contractual matters.

Nick is a Pro-bono Panel Member of Sport Resolutions UK.
