Our specialist Costs Law department offers representation and advice to solicitors, costs draftsmen or directly to clients. The team advise on all manner of costs law disputes and proceedings between parties to litigation or solicitors and their clients. They offer extensive advocacy services, as well as advisory and drafting services. When advantageous to do so, members will work in conjunction with recommended costs-draftsmen to provide comprehensive assistance in recovering costs for receiving parties or minimising liabilities for paying parties.
Our members have a broad range of expertise in diverse areas of law. These include including tax law, PI, clinical negligence, planning, judicial review, and all manner of business and property law. They appear regularly on lengthy, high value or complex detailed assessment hearings or at provisional assessment hearings, as well as in the Supreme Court Costs Office, or in complicated or high value Case and Cost Management Hearings.
Members have extensive drafting expertise, was well as particular expertise in disputes involving fixed costs in personal injury matters.
