Caitlin joined 18 St John Street as a full tenant in September 2024, having completed her Pupillage in Chamber’s Business and Property Team under the supervision of David Hoffman and Victoria Roberts.
She has a particular interest in taxation, contractual litigation, property, trusts, land, and insolvency.
During her pupillage, Caitlin observed and assisted with a wide spectrum of Business and Property work, including researching, drafting pleadings and skeleton arguments. She has also been involved in cases concerning Equine Law, Consumer Finance (including undisclosed commission arrangements), and has conducted research for a Member of the European Circuit in respect of the enforcement of Judgments between the UK and Member States. Furthermore, she participated as one of the Local Practitioner Advocates in the Technology and Construction Court 150th Anniversary Levelling Up Moot.
Whilst at University, Caitlin was President of the Oxford Women in Law Student Society and was actively involved in outreach work.
Upon commencing the Bar Practice Course, Caitlin maintained her relationship with the University by judging mooting and negotiation competitions for the Oxford Society for Commercial Law. Whilst on the course she ranked second in her cohort at a Plea in Mitigation Selection Event and was the winner of the University of Law’s Criminal Law Moot.
Caitlin undertook the Bar Course as a Astbury Scholar which was awarded to her by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
Immediately before commencing Pupillage, Caitlin was employed as a Financial Litigation Paralegal at a global law firm, working on behalf of one of the UK’s leading banks in respect of motor finance agreements.
Outside of Chambers, Caitlin enjoys attending dance classes, the theatre, reading literature, and fashion.
