The barristers at 18 St John Street are thrilled to announce that Ben Donaldson has accepted his invitation to join chambers in the Family Department, following the successful completion of his pupillage.
Ben undertook pupillage supervised by Rehana Begum. Ben has observed and actively assisted junior and leading counsel across a broad and complex mix of public and private law. Cases have included Children Act proceedings involving domestic violence, historical sexual abuse, life threatening non-accidental injuries and use of the high court’s inherent jurisdiction to deprive children of their liberty.
Head of Chambers’ Pupillage Committee & Head of the Family Department, Leonie Caplan said: “I am delighted that Ben has accepted an offer of tenancy with 18 St John Street Chambers following his successful pupillage. Ben has impressed since day one and received praise from members, solicitors and the Judiciary. Ben has acquitted himself admirably during his pupillages and will go on to have a very successful career at the Bar.”
Head of Chambers Richard Chapman KC commented: “Ben has excelled during his pupillage with the feedback received being of the highest quality. I wish him all the very best on becoming a full member of Chambers and look forward to watching his career go from strength to strength.”
All at 18 St John Street wish him the best for the future.
