Colin Buckle defended an ex-postman who avoided immediate custody for dumping junk mail in order to get rounds done more quickly, the Manchester Evening News and Daily Mail report…
Colin was instructed by JTS Solicitors to act on behalf of the ex-postman, who was found not to have delivered hundreds of spam letters, discarding them in rubbish chutes instead. He was told in court by HHJ Rudland that it wasn’t for him “to decide what was important and what wasn’t,” however, he avoided immediate custody.
The defendant received a suspended sentence and a community order to complete 150 hours unpaid work.
