18 St John Street are thrilled to announce that Megan Edwards has joined our expanding Criminal Department. Megan joins from Central Chambers and we look forward to seeing her career at 18 continue to develop and progress.
Megan has developed an excellent practice both prosecuting and defending in a wide range of criminal offences including drugs, fraud, violence and weapons. Megan was recently instructed as junior defence counsel in a multi-handed homicide case where her client was acquitted of manslaughter following successful half-time submissions.
Megan has a particular interest in matters involving drugs, firearms, organised crime, as well as complex and novel legal arguments generally. She is a two-times graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, with a First-Class Honours degree in Law, and a Master’s in Human Rights Law. Megan was awarded a Distinction in the Bar Course, following which she was called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2021.
