18 St John Street Chambers Head of Criminal Department Michael Brady QC represented 31-year-old Robert “Owen” Greenhalgh for the manslaughter of a 36-year-old man at a bar in Bolton in September last year.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the unlawful killing of Robert Smethurst at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court to a custodial period of 11 years and four months with an extended license period of three years and nine months – total 15 years.
Mr Brady QC was instructed by Kristina Harrison Solicitors.
