A v A-Manchester 2025

Contested final hearing-financial relief

Secured a generous lump sum for the wife following a short marriage, including a portion of the husband’s pension plan, which had not previously featured in negotiations.

 

CMBC v CEBC & Ors [2024] EWCA Civ 156-Court of Appeal

Acted for the appellant local authority contesting designation in care proceedings, drafted all documents and secured permission to appeal. Led at the hearing by Brendan Roche KC.

 

Re W-Liverpool 2024/2025

14 day final hearing

Represented the mother (highly vulnerable by reason of mental illness) in successfully obtaining findings of sexual, physical and emotional abuse by the father against both her and her children.

 

Re N-Wrexham 2024

Final hearing

Represented an intervenor and successfully argued for the  withdrawal of allegations of inflicted injury.

 

Re T-Manchester 2024

10 day fact finding hearing before Hayden J, led by Timothy Bowe KC.

Junior counsel for intervenor in proceedings concerning infant presenting with skull fractures and subdural bleeding.

 

Re F-Liverpool 2024/2025

32 day composite final hearing, led by Timothy Bowe KC.

Junior counsel for mother with learning and physical disability in complex care and placement proceedings.

 

Re S-Chester 2023/2024

15 day composite final hearing

Counsel for father with learning disability in multi issue care and placement proceedings concerning inflicted injuries to newborn baby.

 

 Re L-Chester 2023

8 day composite final hearing , led by Liz Isaacs KC.

Junior counsel for the local authority in care and placement proceedings involving multiple inflicted injuries to twin siblings.

 

Re G-Liverpool 2023

5 day finding of fact hearing

Counsel for the father. Successfully resisted finding of sexually motivated grooming of 10 year old daughter.
