Family Law (Children)
James deals with all aspects of Child Arrangements under Section 8 of the Children Act 1989. He is frequently instructed to attend dispute resolution appointments, fact finding and final contested hearings. He is familiar with many of the issues raised in relation to safeguarding and the wishes and feelings of the child. James often handles matters from cradle to grave and many of his cases have resulted in successful final orders being achieved.

Family Law (Matrimonial Finances)
James also accepts instructions in relation to financial matters on marriage breakdown. He is familiar with issues relating to income and capital orders. James offers practical advice and advocacy within financial proceedings in the knowledge of the court’s desire to achieve a fair outcome for all parties.

Public Access Scheme
Following his transfer from the Roll of Solicitors to the Bar, James completed his Public Access training in 2017 and has an extremely busy practice. He regularly accepts instructions from members of the public without a solicitor or other intermediary. James can help clients save money on fees whilst gaining direct access to the Bar. James provides a full-service including providing advice, drafting documents, negotiation and representation at court.

Successful enforcement order obtained for the Applicant following the Respondent’s unilateral withdrawal of contact.

Represented the Applicant at a hearing before HHJ McKinnell to determine the principle and quantum of costs following allegations of “reprehensible and unreasonable behaviour”.
