Nkumbe Ekaney’s practice is exclusively in family law specialising in children, divorce and civil partnership dissolution. The majority of his work is in Public Law acting for parents and children in care; cases of infanticide; non-accidental injury; sexual abuse and chronic neglect. He is principally instructed for parents and children, but also represents local authorities.
Nkumbe Ekaney has particular expertise in cases concerning the identification of the perpetrators of serious non-accidental head injuries (by shaking/ impact); injuries to the torso and of the long bones of children and cases of chronic neglect. Many of these cases involve complex medical evidence.
An extensive High Court practice with a wealth of experience acting in fact finding and final hearings involving chronic neglect, sexual abuse, serious injury and the death of children.
